Guinness World Records Harp Orchestra

Guinness World Records attempt, Tuesday 22 July 2008, Passenger Terminal Amsterdam.

The largest orchestra of harps ever During the Tenth World Harp Congress, we are attempting to produce the largest ensemble of harps ever. This will take place in the main hall of the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, next to the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ and the Mövenpick hotel. Everybody, with all kinds of harps, will be able to participate. Harpists of all ages and levels have already agreed to join, but we would like to organize this event with as many harpists as possible.

The orchestra will be conducted by Kevin Kaska and the music will be especially written for this event by Alfredo Ortiz, Kevin Kaska, Rosetty, and Park Stickney, who will also play as a soloist with the Harp Orchestra. We plan on having 500 harpists!

The costs are € 25 per person. Registration includes:
• Music parts
• Rehearsal CD
• 1 free ticket per player for an accompanying person to attend The Guinness World Records concert
• 2 free tickets to attend the evening concert of 22 July 2008

You have to bring/arrange for your own instrument.
The deadline for registration is 1 April 2008.
Payment: as soon as you have been registered for the Guinness
World Records Harp Orchestra, we'll send you the music and bill.
