New Music Committee

 
Purpose: To encourage and facilitate performances of new music at World Harp Congresses. This committee proposes and reviews and screens proposals of new music works and world premieres for future Congresses. Their comments are forwarded to the host committee, the board and to the artistic director of the WHC, Susann McDonald, for consideration for programming.

Members: Kathy Kienzle, chair, USA, Margarita Arnal, Spain, Alice Giles, Australia, Mercedes Gomez, Mexico, Adina Haroz, Israel, Anne LeBaron, USA, Isabelle Perrin, France, Willy Postma, Norway, Natalia Shameyeva, Russia, Ayako Shinozaki, Japan, Deborah Sipkay, Hungary, Helga Storck, Germany, Patrizia Tassini, Italy, Karen Vaughan, United Kingdom, Pingqiu Yue, China Proposals for new music works and for world premieres to be considered for performance at the 2008 World Harp Congress should be submitted as soon as possible, and not later than July 2007. Do not send scores and/or recordings until requested.

Proposals should be sent to Ernestine Stoop, Chair of the Tenth World Harp Congress, and Kathy Kienzle, Chair of the New Music Committee.
